One of my beloved tortoises, Squirtle, passed away on Christmas eve. After a $500 vet appointment (but before getting him in for $800 more work) my baby fell to a metabolic disease we were never aware that he had. He will be greatly missed.
On Christmas day at 4:19 AM my grandma finally passed away. She's been suffering since June, so on one hand I'm glad it's over. On the other, knowing that I'll never see her again is a huge blow - she was my father and my mentor and the whole reason I even make art.
So pardon my absences from June until now. I've been struggling greatly. I do check here every once in awhile to try and keep up on my fave friends and artists, but I haven't been particularly successful.
I'll be around more often as soon as I can start making art again.

Sorry guys, things went SUPER South and I've been off of DA (and most of the internet) for a little over a month. I'm really sorry that I've been gone, but I've conquered my alcohol dependency and brought my anxiety and depression under control, and that was more important than anything. HUGS! Sorry I am just now reading this. You have been missed. I know your pain. My grandmother has been gone a few years ago. I still have the urge to call her. She was the reason I started working on our family tree.
