THIS is my final project part 1 for my evil teacher's class. She HAS to give me an A, look at this damn thing!
This is the remarkable and magnificent Phoenix, rising once more from the ashes of her late body, yet again, beautiful and young. Forever she will continue the cycle of death and rebirth and streak the sky with her fiery wings. If you're lucky enough to ever receive a feather from her, you will be granted eternal life, just as she suffers.
FIVE days of work. Her wings are red ink, yellow gel pen, red/black mix ink . . . then a layer of peachish/yellow watercolour, then red ink again. Alone, the wings took 2 days. Her hair, the Phoenix in the sky, the splatters, the tassles and her fingernails are ink. Her robes are done in watercolour, as is the sky and the ashes and flames.
The beads are red ink, re/blick mixed ink, gold pen, white-out. Her gold stuff is all done with a gold pen. hair highlights are white-out.
I apologize a GREAT deal for the seam! She's really big and I had to do 2 scans!!! Do be kind if you crit her, I'm going to be fragile with this one!

Havn't seen your work in many moons and must say it's getting beter, and that can only be positive.
The detailing around the wings is somthing that i have to respect as patience is definitly a virtue and is somthing you've displayed here.
Also the imagination wonders where you got the ideas from, it's a really cool fantasy concept.
On the down side (contructive critique), the legs postioning seems a little off and making the colours deeper and more opaque would work well, as some of it seems transparent.
